Eskimo Fixed Data Plans Now Have No Expiry
Fixed data plans from Eskimo will no longer expire. Once purchased, eligible fixed data can remain in your account until you are ready to use it, whether that is on your next trip or several trips from now.
As part of this update, references to “2-year validity” and “Data Rollover” will be removed. Since fixed data no longer has an expiration date, users will not need to extend their data by purchasing another plan before a deadline.
The update also introduces Instant Cashback, changes several new-user and referral offers, and expands Eskimo’s overall coverage to 175 countries.
Which Eskimo Data Plans Have No Expiry?
The no-expiry validity applies to fixed data plans, such as plans that include a set amount of data measured in gigabytes.
Once a qualifying fixed data plan has been upgraded to no expiry, any unused data will remain available in the user’s account. There is no need to rush to use the remaining balance before a fixed date.
Unlimited data plans work differently. Their stated validity period, such as one day or seven days, begins according to the activation terms of the purchased plan. The no-expiry update does not remove the usage period from Unlimited plans. However, any unlimited data plan can now be stored indefinitely, so you can keep it safe in your account until you first connect to a partner network.
What Happens to Existing Fixed Data Plans?
Fixed data plans purchased before June 1, 2026 will not automatically change to no expiry.
To upgrade eligible existing plans, users must purchase a new data plan. Once the new purchase is completed, all eligible active fixed data plans in the same account will be upgraded to no expiry.
The new purchase can be any available data plan. Users do not need to repurchase every destination plan or reinstall their eSIM.
However, data plans that expired before the upgrade was completed will not be restored. The update only applies to eligible plans that are still active in the account when the qualifying purchase is made.
How Instant Cashback Works
Eskimo is also introducing Instant Cashback, a rewards system based on each user’s lifetime purchases.
As users purchase more data over time, they can unlock higher cashback tiers. Depending on the tier reached, users may earn up to 12% cashback on future data purchases.
Because the tiers are based on lifetime spending, previous eligible purchases will contribute toward a user’s progress. This allows existing customers to receive recognition for purchases made before Instant Cashback was introduced.
The cashback earned can then provide additional value on future purchases, particularly for frequent travelers who regularly need data across different destinations.
Changes to Referral Rewards
The temporary referral offer that awarded 1GB during the first 48 hours will be discontinued.
The standard referral reward will continue to give both the existing user and the invited friend 500MB of free data when the referral requirements are completed.
Referral eligibility requirements still apply. The invited user must register through the correct referral link and complete the required account and eSIM setup steps.
Changes to the WELCOME Promo Code
New users will continue to receive access to the WELCOME promo code, which provides 50% off the first data purchase, up to $15.
However, the code will now expire 24 hours after signup. New users who intend to use the offer should complete their first purchase within that period.
The shorter validity period applies from the time the account is registered, not from when the user opens the app or begins installing the eSIM.
Eskimo Coverage Expands to 175 Countries
Eskimo’s overall network coverage will expand to 175 countries, giving users more destinations where they can connect using the same reusable eSIM.
Global plans will now cover 111 countries. There will be no change to the way users purchase, install, or activate Global and Regional plans.
Users can continue using one universal Eskimo eSIM across supported destinations. There is no need to install a separate eSIM each time they purchase a new plan or visit another covered country.
What Existing Users Need to Do
Users with an active fixed data plan purchased before June 1, 2026 should check its current expiration date.
To convert eligible fixed data to no expiry:
- Purchase any new data plan after the update is released.
- Make the purchase before the existing plan expires.
- Confirm that the older eligible fixed plans are still visible in the account.
- Contact support if an eligible active plan does not update correctly.
Users who only purchase new fixed data plans after the update will receive the no-expiry benefit without needing to complete a separate upgrade process.
With no-expiry fixed data, lifetime-based cashback rewards and coverage across 175 countries, Eskimo gives users more flexibility to buy data when it offers the best value and use it whenever they actually need it. New users can also sign up and claim a free global eSIM for a limited time.
